QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW
Due to the pandemic, qualifying has been waived for the upcoming National Championship Show scheduled for June 2021. However, NRSHA expects qualification requirements to remain for 2022 and riders should be plan on attending at least 3 alliance partner shows during 2021 to qualify.
To be eligible to compete in the 2022 NRSHA National Championship Show, a rider must show in at least three events hosted by an alliance partner between March 1, 2021, and February 29, 2022. Riders can show with the same alliance partner three times, or any combination of alliance partners three times.
However, if a rider shows with a variety of partners, it will be up to the exhibitor to get an Attendance Verification Form signed that documents his/her attendance with each partner. The rider must submit the form to an alliance partner by March 15, 2022 in order to receive an invitation to the 2022 NRSHA National Show.
Only shows that offer the core all-around stock horse classes (cow work, reining, trail and pleasure/ranch riding) count toward NRSHA National Championship Show qualification. Shows that only offer a portion of these classes do not count. For example, a rider showing in AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse competition, they must attend an VRH All-Around show for the event to count toward qualification. Shows offering individual ranch classes but not the All-Around classes are not considered qualifying shows.
A rider is not required to show in the all-around to qualify for the national show.
Qualification is based on the horse/rider combination in all divisions except Open, where qualification is based on the horse only.
