Judges and Clinicians List

The listed Clinicians/Judges have completed all certification test requirements. Volunteer (VOL) clinicians do not accept remuneration in order to maintain their Amateur status. Please inquire as necessary.

Effective April 15, 2011, all NVRHA approved events are required to have Certified Clinicians/Judges. To be certified the following is required:
  1. Approved Application
  2. Pass a Written Test
  3. Completion of an Event Evaluation
  4. Paid Current Membership Fee and $50 Clinician Application Fee.
  5. $25.00 Judge renewal fee to be eligible to be a Judge/Clinician after initial Application year.
All fees must be current prior to working an event.

Clinicians wanting to participate in future events are encouraged to complete the certification process. Contact Jay Henson 620-544-8078 for assistance. Event Managers wishing to use Clinicians/Judges not listed must contact Jay for instructions on how to proceed.

Know Your Rules

First and Foremost,  Judges - being "generous" on riders first and second event may actually hurt them in the long run, as the first 2 scores are averaged and it could possible score them into a higher division than they should really be in.  Being honest is not being "mean"  New riders would rather have honest feedback and pointers for the next time, than for the Judge to be generous.  This is one the most brought up concerns with new riders.

Second, Clinicians please ask show management about new riders and help get them in the correct division.  If they are not Novice, they do not have to ride Novice.  Let them know they should ride Intermediate or Limited.

Here are some examples of questions that have been brought to the committee to be clarified.
Judges/Clinicians/Riders - If you have a suggestion or concern for our Judge's Committee to clarify or work on please let the office know and we will get right on it
