9th Annual Ranch Horse Round Up 2023 Recap!
While we were disappointed that we were unable to have the clinic we are so excited to announce that we were able to raise by way of donations, sponsors, buy now items and auction items $8000 for this year’s Ranch Horse Round Up! Woohoo!!! We are very excited to prepare checks for our beneficiaries, The Remount Foundation (www.remountfoundation.org) and Pikes Peak YMCA’s Camp Shady Brook (www.ppymca.com/camp-shady-brook) Each organization will receive a check for $4,000.

We also had many individuals that donated new or gently used items to our Online/Silent Auction. These items were a huge boost to our earnings and are much appreciated!!
It would be impossible to thank all the volunteers that helped get this event up and running, but you all know who you are, and I personally hope you know how much your assistance is appreciated. We could not make this happen without your help! Volunteers helped with planning, getting the word out advertising the event, requesting sponsorships, setting up the arenas, running food and water to the clinicians during the day, taking care of the cows before and after the event, as well as moving the cows around during the event, loaning us panels to use during the event, and the list goes on and on.
Riders, I hope you all enjoyed the event and felt that you learned something new from our great clinicians. We hope you will take the opportunity to join us again next year and spread the word to your friends.

Volunteering - People often ask what kind of help we need:
With this years event being a one day Clinic, we will certainly need some volunteers, but not to the extent of our 2 day events (it takes over 100 Volunteers to put on the event) whether taking tickets at the gate, parking lot assistance, helping with the Buy/Sell Auction, Concessions, Decorating, preparing the Facility, being a Roadie for the Benefit Concert Band and much more. Volunteer slots are being built now and can be found by clicking below. For questions regarding volunteering, contact Pam Cobb at 719-548-8075 . |

Testimonials
Molly Flores – Daughter of Active-Duty Vet (Mother) and 90% Injured Warrior Vet (Father) When I rode in the NVRHA event to support our Warriors at Kit Carson Riding Club’s last year, I had many emotions. I was proud to support the women and men that served. It grew in me a bigger ambition to do my best because I knew my participation was helping raise money for our country’s wounded. I was overjoyed to help and wished the day wouldn’t end.
Blake Cobb - I helped with the Ranch Horse Round Up Event, spending a few days making and donating leather items to raise money for soldiers who had come back with injuries. It taught me a lot and made me feel really good because my own father was deployed during that time. I greatly appreciate my father in what he does for his country and my family. The year prior, when I learned my dad would be deployed for the third time, I was angry. I didn’t want him to leave for Iraq because life was always harder when he was gone – more chores at home – more difficult at school. I was glad to be able to stay in touch with him by email. Eventually, we got news my father would return just a few days before Christmas. We were very excited, and we drove to the airport to pick him up. He landed in a massive C-130.
Nora McFadden - The Ranch Horse clinics and classes to help our warrior vets are very fun. Everyone is nice and helpful. I rode in Ranch Riding and Trail. Riding teaches patterns and Trail teaches you and your horse how to do obstacles together, like walking over a bridge, getting something out of a mail box and other things. You learn everything on Saturday and then you apply everything you learn in the fun day classes on Sunday. I was the youngest one in each of my classes and we did really, really well. We did the best overall in the Youth Division, which surprised me because I am a beginner. It’s a lot of fun and for such a great cause. You should sign up.
