A Message from the CO State Representative: Brian Thomas, CoNVRHA

Hello CoNVRHA,

I hope everyone who attended the NVRHA Championships this weekend had fun!  I should have put out this email prior to that event but I have been extremely busy and forgot to do it.  I'm sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

The results are in for our first ever Colorado Buckle Series.  Unfortunately, we were unable to present our Colorado awards at the National awards dinner this past Saturday due to time constraints.  Just to review, our series started out as six events and we had planned to score four.  When two of our events cancelled, one due to EVH and one due to lack of registrations, we changed the scoring to the best three scores in Colorado events.  This year's Colorado Buckle Series winners are:

NOVICE:  Kelcey Swyers and Husker's Playmate  
INTERMEDIATE: Charlie Stewart and Riskey Irish Whiskey
ADVANCED: Rita Lauby and Lil Bit O Badge

Congratulations to our Colorado Champions and thanks to all the competitors that attend events this year.  Overall we had 19 novices, 14 intermediates and 11 advanced riders that scored placement points in 2011.

* Qualified Buckle Series Events

* The Colorado 2011 Buckle Series:
There will be 5 qualified CoNVRHA Buckle Events in 2011, marked above with an *. The NVRHA member that attains the highest total placement points in 3 NVRHA Colorado Buckle Events will win a belt buckle. To qualify, a member must compete in at least 3 CO Buckle events or more and be a current member. One winner per division: Novice, Intermediate and Advanced.
